Gaggia Open Portafilter Kit

Complete kit to craft your own Open Portafilter to use with your Gaggia Classic (Pro/Evo/E24). The kit comes

unassembled but is fairly easy to assemble.

Tops

The portafilter tops (part that interfaces directly with the machine) are made from CNC machined aluminium. There are 2 variants; blank annodised and black annodised.

Handle

The handle is made from carbon filled PA6 Nylon. This material is a good mix between strength and heat resistance. The handles are coated in a matte black heat resistant coating to ensure a black that has a good match with the tops. Combined with the top this makes a lay flat protafilter that makes it easy to handle with one hand or, for example, to weigh your dose before shot.

Hardware

All kits come with the following hardware:
- 1x basket retaining spring, to retain the used basket in the portafilter
- 8x (and one extra) M2x12 TX6 screws, for mounting the top to the handle
